ISS Student Worker - ONLY Undergraduate - Work Study preferred
8-10 hours per week
We seek an individual with interest in international education, immigration, or related topics. With sensitive data, strong attention to detail is crucial. Employment is by semester; renewals are based on work performance. As students remain with the ISS, they will advance in the complexity of their duties and will receive advanced training.
Job Requirements
Good academic standing in the University, strong-interpersonal skills. Comfortable interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and/or identities; and who may speak English as a second language. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn new skills, take initiative and ability to follow procedure. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Familiarity with Excel and use of spreadsheets to manage data is preferred. Interest or experience using a database, experience preferred but not required.
Job Duties
Coverage of ISS front desk, performing data entry and data updates in databases, spreadsheets, and online systems, providing preliminary clerical support to incoming requests for services, and assisting as needed with other office tasks (examples: Check pick up, processing and cancellation; mail scanning and processing; monthly billing, case set up and assignments in Salesforce).
