Student Assistant - Illustrator

Student Assistant needed to create and adapt graphics and visual materials using Adobe Illustrator to support the production of accessible course content for students with disabilities. This position works closely with Disability Resource Center staff to develop, edit, and prepare diagrams, charts, figures, and other instructional graphics for accessibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy during extended periods of visual review and editing.
• Ability to handle interruptions, balance multiple tasks, and manage confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience creating or editing technical, educational, or instructional graphics.
• Familiarity with accessibility principles and accessible document design.
• Experience working with scanner hardware and software.
• Knowledge of screen reader technology and disability-related accessibility tools.

Additional Information

• 10-20 hours per week

• Monday-Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

• Minimum shift length: 2 hours (4-hour shifts preferred)
• $15.00 per hour
