Instruction Specialist

Job Summary

Provide instructional and operational services for residential and online course delivery. Develop and deliver lecture -, and laboratory-based instruction. Implement policies, procedures, and standards for laboratory instruction. Maintain instructional equipment, and order supplies and equipment. Successful candidate will coordinate with other instructional technologist(s) assigned to assist in the parasitology and microbiology labs.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Veterinary Nursing/Technology
  • Two years of experience teaching college-level life sciences or related courses
  • Ability to teach in classroom, laboratory and small groups
  • Working knowledge of good laboratory practices and biohazards  
  • Oral and written communication, and organization skills
  • Computer skills, especially those required for preparation and electronic delivery of teaching materials (e.g., Microsoft Office)



  • Experience teaching college-level microbiology or parasitology courses
