International Sponsored Program Manager

Job Summary

The role of International Sponsored Program Manager will fiscally manage externally sponsored grant awards as well as foreign and domestic sub awards for complex international programs across multiple university areas.  Primary focus will be to provide post award fiscal oversight for a large multi-year award funded by the United States Agency for International Development (LASER PULSE). Work with the unit head in establishing financial priorities. Develop budgetary controls and prepare financial reports. The Program Manager will also work closely with central offices and other business entities in meeting the strategic goals of the University. The position also will act as the resource and liaison among the academic or administrative unit and central offices. This role will also provide proper interpretation of University, federal and sponsoring agency policies and procedures. While doing this the role will also serve on a variety of committees to review, recommend and implement changes to policies and procedures.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Two (2) years of business administration or financial management or related experience
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, leadership, budgeting, financial analysis, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and customer service skills
  • Ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures
  • Proficient in following software: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook


  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.  
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange rate and currencies
