Key Account Project Manager

Job Summary

This Key Account Project Manager is responsible for relationship and program development with key agribusiness clients, faculty and subject matter experts. This includes using theoretical knowledge and previous experience while working under limited supervision to develop new, private, continuing education program opportunities; selling public open enrollment programs; conducting client needs assessments; designing programs with a focus on quality, best practices and learner experience; sourcing faculty and speakers; evaluating programs; and generating revenue to meet targeted goals. This position will also work with clients who seek the benefits of stand-alone program models that fit their current management development needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Using knowledge of educational program flow and design, link classroom content and program objectives with company objectives through liaison responsibilities with company executives/upper managers and faculty instructors/researchers
  • Source the best faculty/facilitators from across the country
  • Work with event managers in the execution of logistics and post program follow-up
  • Write and may present proposal directed at industry customers, as well as other funding organizations and build budgets that meet the customer’s needs and cover the full of Center resources
  • Assessment of department capabilities and available resources and by utilizing the area’s competitive strengths for capturing new business
  • Perform a range of activities intended to maintain the Center’s linkages with clientele including getting Center faculty and staff in the trade press, monitoring the state-of-the-art in adult management education, exploring new ways of evaluating program impact, etc

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Project Management, Business, Education or Agriculture
  • 4 years experience in a project management role
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight timelines and limited supervision
  • Ability to handle complex projects
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of course design, development and delivery
  • Learning Management System experience, preferably Canvas
  • Ability to design and script/storyboard educational programs and courses
  • Base knowledge of management education topics

Nice to Have:

  • PMP
  • Masters in Business, Education, Instructional Design, Project Management, or Agriculture
  • Experience in planning and executing professional discovery and sales calls or meetings
