Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve as a full-time lab assistant on projects in Dr. Laura Elenbaas’ Social Development Lab. They will help with day-to-day tasks such as participant recruitment, scheduling, in-person and online data collection, and lab administration including ordering supplies. They will also assist Dr. Elenbaas with supervision of undergraduate research assistants using established protocols.

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HDFS, psychology, or related field.
  • Six months of experience in a research setting involving children and/or families.

 

Skills Needed:

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort working with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Availability to work in-person on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus.
