Are you passionate about supporting graduate students and enhancing academic programs? Join our team as the Graduate Program Coordinator at Purdue University!
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the graduate program from application to graduation, assisting and counseling students with registration and monitoring their progress toward a degree. You'll be responsible for implementing and refining processes to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, including ISS and OGSPS. Additionally, you will prepare all CPB course-related reports and paperwork.
As the department's representative, you will liaise with various campus-wide offices such as the Graduate School, Registrar, Bursar, Affirmative Action, and ISS. You'll serve as a valuable resource for graduate students, faculty, and staff regarding university and school procedures. Preparing and submitting promotion documents to the CVM area and University committees will also be part of your duties.
You will coordinate all faculty searches for the department and manage various special projects and other activities as directed by the department head. Providing comprehensive guidance to students on all facets of the graduate program is a key aspect of this role.

What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of program management and/or relevant administrative experience
Skills Needed:
- Working knowledge of PC/word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications (Access and Excel)
- Excellent verbal/ written communication skills essential
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work
- Ability to work under pressure and remain organized is imperative
- Knowledge of academic programs, registration process and the student experience
Preferred:
- College Degree
- Work experience in an academic area working with students
- Knowledge of Banner ERP system
