Veterinary Technician (Diagnostic Imaging)

Job Summary

Looking for a Veterinary Nurse to provide service to both the large and small animal hospital in diagnostic imaging. This job entails performing routine soft tissue and orthopedic radiography procedures with the potential to perform advanced imaging procedures as well as instructing and guiding both vet nursing students and DVM 4th year students.

This posting may be filled at multiple levels (S3 or S4). The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate.


S3 requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology


S4 requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program
  • Two years of experience as a credentialed veterinary technician


  • Must be registered as veterinary technician in Indiana within twelve months of date of hire
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must possess good oral written communications skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally



  • Large animal handling experience
  • Experience as a registered veterinary technician in veterinary practice or a veterinary teaching hospital
  • Diagnostic imaging experience and teaching
