Job Summary
The Department of Sociology at Purdue University invites applications for multiple lecturer positions. Lectureships are non-tenure track teaching positions with renewable three-year contracts, competitive salaries, and medical and retirement benefits. Duties include teaching 24 credit hours per academic year within the sociology curriculum at the undergraduate level, and providing service to the Department, College and/or University.
Qualifications
- PhD in sociology, or related field, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to teach courses in and relating to (A) gender; and one of (B) (a) medical sociology, and the sociology of health and healthcare; or (b) digital criminology, and criminal justice
- We are seeking qualified candidates who are able to contribute to the strategic vision of the undergraduate curriculum in each listed area, and/or related topics aligning with the university's missions.
