Lecturer

Short Description

This position will teach computer science service courses (courses to non-CS majors). CS service courses include C programing, Python programming, Digital Literacy, and Organizational Computing. Expected load is two course preps per semester. Most CS service courses are team taught with other lecturers. Lecturers prepare and provide course lectures to large enrollment classes, prepare all course assessments, manage teaching assistants as assigned, and are expected to use standard Purdue learning management systems and pedagogical practices.

 

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or another IT discipline, or three yeas of relevant work experience in software development.  A master's degree is preferred.
