Job Summary

The Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business embraces the idea that business needs technology to change the world.  Our faculty, in turn, develop 21st century business leaders by facilitating the harnessing of communication skills, hands-on learning, and technological excellence to turn new discoveries into societal change.  The Management Information Systems Area, in the Department of Management, in the Daniels School of Business, spearheads education of tomorrow’s business leaders in the digital transformation that is revolutionizing 21st century business.

 

Growth in the undergraduate Business Analytics and Information Management major, the MS in Business Analytics and Information Management program, and the growth of the Integrated Business and Engineering degree program has created opportunities for teaching faculty who excel in the development and mentorship of students who will be future leaders of business through technology.

 

We are seeking to fill an open-rank, lecturer faculty position, starting in Fall 2024. This full-time, non-tenure track faculty position will be at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer rank.  A Ph.D. is strongly preferred; however, a candidate with a master’s degree with significant industry experience will be considered.

 

Opportunities exist in the following areas:

 

  • Python Programming
  • Economic Implications of Digital Transformation
  • Economics of Information

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • A Ph.D. in a related discipline (including economics) is strongly preferred.

 

Experience

The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about creating a positive impact on business and society through technology with concrete, proven examples; especially in the opportunity areas listed above.  Strong evidence of teaching quality, ability to provide leadership in teaching excellence, and adaptability are vital.
