Job Summary
As the Electronics/Telecommunications Maintenance Planner, you will:
- Support the functions of the Electronics & Telecommunications activities by scoping, planning, scheduling, and monitoring planned maintenance work requests in order to maximize efficiency. This includes inspection of the job sites and developing job plans along with advance work schedules in order to properly estimate the labor hours, staff resources, and materials needed for job execution.
- Review planned work orders submitted by campus customers.
- Main point of contact for planned work requests/work orders and keeps customers and supervisors up to date on current status of work.
- Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance to create, track, code, and complete work orders.
- Requires good technical, analytical, and communication skills.

Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management, Construction Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required.
- One year of electronics or telecommunications and/or other mechanical related trades experience required.
- Experience with Operations & Maintenance department processes along with knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments helpful.
- Previous experience with CMMS software (ideally SAP PM) preferred.
- Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree and 3 years of experience or high school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience.
Skills needed:
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly developing job plans.
- Ability to communicate technical and analytical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal form and maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including campus customers, craft personnel, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to utilize common office equipment as well as read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals.
- Ability to walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds in weight.
- A valid US or Canadian drivers’ license required.
