Job Summary

Serving as the manager of departmental relationships, events, and communications for constituencies in the Purdue Convocations sphere, manage the day-to-day functions, service, and implementation of relationship delivery systems for the department, and serve as the primary departmental contact with key strategic partners.

What We’re Looking For:   

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience such as: experience in external relations/fundraising functions, annual fund campaign design/management, gift processing and acknowledgment, donor stewardship and communications, advisory board management and operations, corporate and trade solicitation and fulfillment, special event planning and execution, customer service and support.
  • In select circumstances, an equivalent combination of substantive demonstrated work experience featuring directly related skills and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. For example, an associate’s degree and 6 years of experience or a high school diploma/GED and 8 years of experience.

  • This position requires periodic physical/on-site duty during evenings and weekends, in conjunction with special events, meetings, performances, and activities, as assigned.

  • Ability to solicit and close gift and business transactions.
  • Highly skilled in on-site, remote, and mobile working solutions, using a wide array of contemporary collaboration tools: Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive), MicroSoft Teams, Zoom, meeting planning/calendaring tools, and Google tools (Drive, Sheets, Docs)

What is helpful:

  • Experience in cultivation, stewardship, and member services in a performing arts organization.
