Marketing Analytics Manager

Job Summary

The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for analyzing and reporting analytics across university digital platforms. The individual will be responsible for working with Marketing and Communications leadership and stakeholders within the various departments to establish and track digital key performance indicators (KPIs).  The individual will also support the digital engagement team by providing ad hoc reporting against digital marketing channels. The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for driving a comprehensive, consistent analytics strategy across digital properties to ensure accurate visibility into data available. Reporting to the Principal, Marketing Insights & Analytics, the Marketing Analytics Manager is a member of the insights and analytics team and collaborates closely with those in web development and design, brand and strategy, and creative roles, as well as the many individual colleges, schools, and departments across campus.
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, data science, computer science, or related field 
  • Four (4) years of experience in data analysis
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
  • Organized, with the ability to follow through on issues and pay close attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly develop and implement actionable solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Naturally curious about technology, systems, processes, analytics, and customer insights
  • Working knowledge of data mining and analytic tools (i.e., SQL, R, Python, etc.)  and statistical techniques 
  • Ability to lead, educate, and effectively manage technical discussions
  • Ability to adapt and maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization

Preferred:

  • Digital analytics working experience in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience in digital marketing, including knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google AdWords, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, DoubleClick Search, etc.) and other digital advertising tools
  • Experience with attribution modeling and software
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik, etc.
