Job Summary
The Multimedia Video Specialist will bring the Daniels School of Business story to life through compelling, purpose-driven video content that showcases Purdue’s people, programs, research, and real-world impact. This role leads video projects from concept to final delivery, creating polished content for digital marketing, recruitment, events, social media, advancement, and brand storytelling while ensuring alignment with Purdue’s master brand and the Daniels School’s bold identity.
The ideal candidate brings creative vision, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset—partnering with faculty, staff, students, and campus colleagues to produce engaging visual stories that strengthen awareness, elevate reputation, and connect audiences to the innovation and opportunity that define Purdue and the Daniels School of Business.
What You’ll Do
- Complete high-quality post-production work, including editing for multiple platforms, motion graphics, audio enhancement, and color correction with strong attention to detail.
- Plan and execute the creative and logistical elements of video production, including location scouting, scheduling, camera operation, lighting, and audio for on-campus and on-location shoots.
- Maintain an organized, searchable content library by updating, tagging, and managing assets in the school’s content management system.
- Curate and optimize the Daniels School’s YouTube presence, partnering with the Social Media Manager to ensure videos are properly titled, tagged, captioned, and positioned for engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing partners to develop strategic video concepts that bring Daniels School stories to life while aligning with Purdue’s master brand and Daniels School brand localization.
- Research and apply emerging video trends, technologies, software, and industry best practices to continually elevate the school’s visual storytelling approach.

The salary for this position ranges from $49,000 to $74,000 annually, based on experience and skills.

What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally in video production, multimedia, or a related field
- 2 years of related, professional experience in video production and storytelling
Skills needed:
- Strong knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Premiere Pro and After Effects. Additional familiarity of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator are beneficial.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to adapt video style to current social media trends and multimedia applications.
- Ability to shoot and edit still photos.
- Strong project management, workflow, and process skills; experience managing complex projects from pre-production design to post-production deliverables.
- Ability to work with content management and project management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with others, including students, faculty, staff, administration and alumni.
