Job Summary
The research and evaluation team for the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Great Lakes I-Corps Hub is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to focus on research related to faculty and doctoral student entrepreneurship and training associated with the NSF’s I-Corps program. The candidate will be expected to conduct research related to reasons for involvement in technology commercialization and entrepreneurship; measurement of outcomes as they relate to faculty and graduate student participation; as well as synthesize best practices related to topics such as technology commercialization recruiting, training, and policy. It is a 1-year, renewable position.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the post-doctoral fellow include:
- contribute to research design and data collection
- supervise survey and interview data collection
- analyze quantitative, longitudinal survey data as a primary activity
- analyze qualitative interview data as a secondary activity
- draft manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
- present research at conferences
- mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- participate in collaborative project meetings of the team members
- support the development of research proposals
The candidate will be employed by Purdue University, but will work closely with all members of the I-Corps team, including weekly participation in virtual and/or in-person meetings.

Required: Ph.D. from an accredited institution in education research, business, psychology, STEM, or other pertinent field. A demonstrated ability to work/collaborate with others and work independently on scholarly publications. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired: Demonstrated experience with conducting and publishing education or higher education research using quantitative or qualitative research methods, supervision of survey data collection, data management and cleaning, and/or quantitative methods for longitudinal survey data analysis.
