Building Deputy/Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

Support departmental operations which may include shipping and receiving, inventory control, record maintenance, facilities services, mailroom, and equipment set up. Communicate with building occupants, maintenance and security staff, or vendors to identify and resolve issues. May perform minor maintenance, key allocation, coordinate deliveries, or inspect packages. This position is an integral part of the HDFS department with the duties of “Building Deputy” for Fowler House and Hanley Hall. In addition to serving as Building Deputy, this position will provide administrative support for multiple faculty within the department as needed.

 

Required:

  • HS diploma/GED 
  • Two years clerical support experience 
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

Preferred:

  • One year University experience 
  • Ability to balance interruptions and multiple tasks
