Operations Clerk, Senior
Job Summary
This position is a dual posting.
Seasoned individual contributor is responsible for all storeroom and inventory functions. Including, but not limited to ordering, receiving, stocking, picking, staging, delivering, and material master data. Communicates with contacts within and outside of the department and university. Works independently under limited supervision.

What you will be doing:
- Picking materials from storerooms to fulfill reservations within and outside of department.
- Stages materials for pick up or delivery and checking accuracy of depleted stock.
- Receiving and stocking of materials, physically and digitally and Inspect material upon receipt and process receipt documents.
- Resolve any problems related to improper/damaged materials that are received.
- As required, operate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, barrel cart, etc.
- Purchasing of materials for storerooms. and follow up on orders placed but not received.
- Maintain updated records of orders, returns, damages, etc.
- Communicates with outside suppliers and deliver materials to campus buildings, as needed.
- Drive university vehicles (cars, trucks, large trucks).
- Material master data and inventory counting.
- Responsible for pricing, count accuracy and vendor changes.
- Responsible for reporting any problems/discrepancies with inventory to supervisor.
- Miscellaneous.
- Serve as a trainer for new users of the storerooms and senior liaison with outside vendors for evaluation of new products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you must have :
Senior Operations Clerk
- High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred vocational or technical education.
- 4 years of experience in inventory, maintenance, retail, procurement or related.
- Knowledge of SAP or other inventory software.
- Organizational skills (time management, self-motivated, attention to detail, decision-making).
- Strong math skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet constant deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills (outlook, word, excel, tablets).
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Purdue purchasing procedures preferred.
Operation Clerk
