Job Summary
Purdue Testing Services (PTS) is seeking reliable and detail-oriented student employees to join our proctor pool. Proctors play a critical role in supporting a secure, professional, and accessible testing environment for students. This position is especially focused on supporting high-volume testing periods, including final exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Proctor exams in accordance with Purdue Testing Services policies and procedures

Monitor testing environments to ensure academic integrity

Verify student identity and enforce testing regulations

Provide clear instructions and support to students during check-in and testing

Maintain a quiet, professional, and distraction-reduced testing environment

Accurately document and report any irregularities or incidents

Assist with general testing center operations as needed
Required Qualifications

Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established procedures

Dependable, punctual, and organized

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to remain professional under pressure

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold academic integrity standards
Preferred Qualifications

Prior customer service or office experience

Availability during peak testing times, including evenings and Finals Week

Work Schedule & Compensation
Finals Week
- Must work at least 10 hours
- Shifts may occur Mon 7am - Sat 4pm
- Training to be done prior to finals week
- Up to 20 hours may be scheduled
Compensation
- Starting wage: $11/hr
