Purdue University's Parking Operations team is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our office as a Parking Clerk. This position plays an important role in supporting daily parking services while helping students, employees, and visitors navigate parking-related questions and processes.

 

As one of the first points of contact for customers, the successful candidate will provide assistance in person, by phone, and through email while ensuring a positive customer experience. This role combines customer service, administrative support, database management, and operational coordination in a collaborative environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide courteous and timely assistance to customers at the service counter, over the phone, and through email.
  • Respond to parking-related inquiries and help resolve routine concerns in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update parking records and databases.
  • Prepare documentation and supporting materials for second- and third-level citation appeals.
  • Assist with management of the campus abandoned bicycle inventory and bike impound operations.
  • Coordinate and support bike repair student employees.
  • Learn and maintain parking maps using ArcGIS and other departmental systems.
  • Process payments and transactions while adhering to established security and auditing procedures.
  • Support departmental operations during peak periods and special projects as needed.

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience Required:
  • High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience
 
Skills Required:
