Job Summary
The Charitable Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at Patterson-McCallum-Mareta Charitable Pharmacy (PMMCP) is a licensed pharmacist tasked with overseeing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing inventory, and overseeing financial budgeting. This role is expected to evolve to include the implementation and provision of clinical pharmacy services.
What We Are Looking For :
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community pharmacy
Completion of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency or an equivalent experience in pharmacy practice preferred
Licensed in the state of Indiana; participation in continuing education activities to meet licensure requirements
Completion of APhA Pharmacy–Based Immunization Delivery certificate program
Obtain and maintain AHA Basic Life Support certification
Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws pertaining to all aspects of pharmacy practice including hazardous materials and drugs, and accepts legal responsibility for pharmacy operations and technician activities performed under their supervision
Skills needed:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is a plus
Certified to prescribe birth control preferred
Effective problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner; anticipates service needs and works with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Demonstrates cultural compassion and sensitivity in working with underserved patient populations.
Strong data analytics skills
Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials
Skills in negotiating between individuals and groups
Ability to prioritize tasks and projects and to maintain control of own and others’ work
Ability to work without close supervision or professional guidance and to exercise independent judgment
Ability to develop and implement long-range plans and programs
