Physician (Primary Care)

Job Summary

As a Primary Care Physician with Purdue University Student Health (PUSH) you will be providing healthcare services for eligible Purdue students, and student spouses. You will be responsible for ambulatory care of patients and have an opportunity to serve on Health Center Committees. You will also serve as a consultant to health center certified Nurse Practitioners and ancillary staff.

What would a new physician with the university expect?

  • Boarded and certified colleagues
  • Traditional hours of Monday-Friday with rare Saturday hours
  • 19-21 patients per day
  • Electronic Health Records and ancillary services of allergy and immunization service

  • Computerized X-ray (plain radiography) and lab services in house
  • Closed on University holidays; On-Call is only during daytime hours

What we are looking for:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • One year of experience in primary care and completion of an accredited residency. 
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in primary care:  Internal Medicine and Family Practice

  • This is an Academic year position
  • Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position

  • FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
  • Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contributions immediately
