Post Doc Research Assistant

Job Summary

The John and Donna Krenicki Center for Business Analytics and Machine Learning, Krannert School of Management, is currently accepting applications for a postdoctoral position.  The duration of the position is 2-years, contingent upon successful review of year one. This position requires a Ph.D. in MIS, OM, CS, Management, Applied Math, Physics, or in any related field.  The appointment will begin in August 2020.  Up to one-half of the postdoctoral appointment will involve managing analytics related projects secured by the Krenicki Center.  This includes assisting lead project faculty members with data collection, plan and design data models, and coordinate with local technical staff to ensure hardware is maintained and required software is installed, and communicate when needed with various companies regarding their analytical project.  The other half of the appointment will be used to conduct candidate's own research, including potential collaboration with department faculty and graduate students. 

Candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English, as excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interact effectively with top-level executives in a business environment.  Ability to maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion.  Ability to multi-task and prioritize work projects with minimal input, and follow-up with others to keep projects on track.
