Post Doc Research Associate Physics & Astronomy

Job Description

The Manfra Group at Purdue University seeks a postdoctoral fellow to study quasiparticle interferometry in the Fractional Quantum Hall Regime. Building on recent innovations in Fabry-Perot interferometer design, we have directly measured anyonic braiding statistics at ν=1/3. See Nature Physics 16, 931-936. We continue to develop new experiments to probe fractional statistics, including non-Abelian states. We are looking for someone to join this exciting project at the forefront of quantum physics.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with fabrication of mesoscopic devices and small signal electrical measurements in a dilution refrigerator. More information about ongoing work in the Quantum Semiconductor Systems Group/Microsoft Quantum Purdue can be found at https://manfragroup.org/.

Interested applicants should contact Prof. Michael Manfra at mmanfra@purdue.edu.
