Job Summary
The project manager will oversee all aspects of the Lilly Scholars at Purdue program at Purdue West Lafayette, including the Indianapolis location. This individual will act as the main point of contact for the Lilly Scholars at Purdue Program and will work in conjunction with Eli Lilly and Company and the Office of Industry Partnerships, Enrollment Management, Purdue for Life and the Office of Professional Practice, academic advising, admissions, career services and others to ensure program success. The selected candidate will devise strategies to ensure Purdue consistently achieves the metrics and objectives outlined in the university-sponsor partnership agreement. Responsibilities include evaluating the program's execution on both campuses, managing recruitment and scholar experience initiatives, and engaging prospective students, families, and community partners.
Additionally, the candidate will handle external communications such as press releases, annual reports, presentations, and proposals across various audiences and channels. Any duties outside the established workflow will require approval from the Joint Steering Committee. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, task-oriented, flexible, and possess a thorough understanding of opportunities available to students through the Purdue ecosystem, including approved majors and target audiences. Off-site travel and evening and weekend support are required.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields, including but not limited to Business, Communications, Human Resources, Engineering, Science, Technology, etc.
- Four or more years of experience with Project Management and Outreach/External Engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work within project timelines
- Experience with community engagement and/or conducting outreach
- Experience working with external partners and community stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and open to new ideas and areas for collaboration
- Background with development or related project/operations management
- Experience organizing and overseeing events start to finish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Strong interpersonal skills for relating effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, university staff, alumni, and employers
What Is Helpful:
- Experience with CRM technology such as Slate
