Job Summary
Purdue’s College of Liberal Arts is an emerging leader in innovative Liberal Arts education and scholarship. We are seeking a dynamic Recruitment Specialist to serve as a key member of the Recruitment Team, reporting to the Assistant Director of Recruitment. This role holds primary responsibility for the strategic recruitment and yield of well-prepared transfer students, while also functioning as a primary resource for all prospective students and their families. A core aspect of this position involves project management, requiring the specialist to develop, coordinate, and execute a portfolio of recruitment events, activities, and presentations, along with performing essential administrative responsibilities that support the efficient operation and success of the overall recruitment initiatives for the college. In-state travel is required to successfully carry out recruitment duties.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a Liberal Arts field such as Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or related field.
- One year of recruitment, customer service, or directly related experience.
Skills Needed:
- Exceptional relationship building skills among external and internal constituents with an ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
- Engaging public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong individual contributor who enjoys leading and managing multiple projects and meets deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail and follow through.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, including time and resource management.
- Eager to learn and use emerging technology and/or communication trends.
- Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of electronic and social media communication.
Additional Information:
- This position requires the ability to travel, and work occasional nights and weekends, based on business need.
