Purdue University’s College of Science is seeking a Research Administration Manager to play a key strategic role in advancing our research enterprise. In this position, you’ll help drive interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling faculty and teams to pursue innovative, high-impact research.
As a senior leader in research administration, you’ll:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Science research programs
- Facilitate multi-investigator teams to prepare and submit competitive proposals
- Build cross-disciplinary partnerships and targeted initiatives that foster collaboration
- Partner with principal investigators, research staff, and sponsors to support complex research endeavors
- Oversee fiscal planning, budgeting, and funding from internal and external sources
- Serve as an institutional expert on evolving sponsor regulations, ensuring full compliance and awareness across the college

What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
- A Bachelor’s of Science degree
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in project management or research administration
- Experience in a scientific or engineering development field
- Project management experience
Preferred:
- Advanced degree
- Experience of academic grant pre-award or post-award practices
Skills Required:
- Technical writing, public speaking, supervision of a technical team, budgeting and budget management
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Federal funding agencies and processes
