Research Program Coordinator

Job Summary

The Research Program Coordinator will work closely with the Center Directors to design and execute education programs to support the overall AAMP-EM project, including coordinating curriculum development efforts and building pathways for research participation by undergraduate and graduate students.  The Research Program Coordinator will prepare, manage, and continuously update/document project plans, work with Purdue and external cross-functional partners, ensure that tasks are completed on-time and within resource projections, and implement meaningful evaluations of program initiatives (evaluation plans to be constructed in conjunction with the Center Directors). In addition, the Research Program Coordinator will perform other important tasks including scheduling, risk mitigation/management, administrative duties including financial tracking, and other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For



  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, engineering, communications, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in research administration, business management, or project management working cross-functionally, or equivalent



  • A degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience working within Purdue business environment
  • Experience with risk mitigation and conflict management
  • Prior supervisory experience of young-adult (undergraduate or graduate student) workers
  • Prior experience with IRB protocols, approvals, and compliance



  • Motivated to learn about large project management within a high-velocity research and programmatic environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks, especially during times of heavy workload
  • Proficiency with typical business software and tools including Google docs and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn details of and earn certification for FERPA and CITI compliance
  • Proficiency in descriptive statistical analysis
  • Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to building inclusive environments and programs within which individuals can achieve their full potential

Additional Information

  • This is a limited duration position until August 2025. Continuation is dependent upon additional grant funding
  • All new hires will be expected to follow Protect Purdue
