Research Technician-Programmer
Job Summary
The iCAN Lab at Purdue University (PI: Sarah Karalunas) is seeking a full-time data scientist to support a large, NIH-funded study focused on children and families with ADHD. This position will lead data management and database creation needs for the lab, including supporting data sharing in support of Open Science efforts and to maintain compliance with funder’s data sharing requirements (e.g., sharing with NIH’s National Data Archive). They will work with our large team to create report summaries using REDCap and similar databases to support study management. They will also have opportunities to work with large, national cohort datasets (e.g., Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development cohort). This person will be responsible for implementing and maintaining processing pipelines for electrophysiological data (EEG, eye-tracking), cognitive, and other data using R, Python, and/or MATLAB; supporting statistical analyses in large datasets; and developing infographics and other novel data visualization approaches (using R or similar). Start date is negotiable.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Human Development, Statistics, Engineering, Computer programming, or related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a research-support or programming role;
