STEM Content Creator for Online Homework - Student Clerical

Job Summary

The STEM Content Creator will aid instructors in creating and migrating content for online homework. In this role, students will create randomized STEM problems in an online homework platform.


The successful candidate will be able to work with limited supervision, demonstrate trustworthiness by maintaining the confidentiality of course and assessment content, and be attentive to detail. 


This posting represents two positions. One position will be focused on creating and migrating ECON content, while the other position will be focused on creating and migrating ECET content.


Job duties include:

  • Creating new or modifying existing homework problems

  • Inputting homework problems into online homework platform

  • Verifying accuracy and robustness of problems in online homework platform

Schedules are flexible. Working hours are between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. No weekend work. This is a remote position.


Required attributes for both positions

  • Strong background in quantitative disciplines, such as Mathematics or Engineering

  • Able to work 10 - 20 hours per week

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Desire to learn and improve

  • Discretion in handling confidential information

  • Ability to quickly learn new software


Required attributes for ECON position

  • Have passed ECON 340 with A or B or both ECON 251 and ECON 252 with A’s or B’s


Required attributes for ECET position

  • Have passed ECET 277 or equivalent course with A or B


Preferred attributes for both positions

  • Experience with LaTeX

  • Possesses strong word processing skills

  • Experience as an undergraduate teaching assistant


Preferred attributes for the ECET position

  • Experience with Multisim

  • Experience with MATLAB
