Senior Administrative Assistant, Agricultural Communications

The Department of Agricultural Communications is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant. This position will be responsible for administratively supporting Ag Communications by performing key technical functions as well as compiling monthly media metrics and Google web analytics and providing assistance to departments and county Extension offices on basic functional and design issues with the College web site. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Producing reports from project management and assisting with photo database management
  • Coordinating department's orientation for all new employees
  • Ordering and maintaining all department supplies
  • Backing up department administrative assistant on travel, purchasing and human capital management software
  • Providing administrative support for production coordinator, media relations manager, digital media manager and communications manager
  • Supervising student employees

 

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4 years of secretarial or general office experience
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Aptitude and proven ability in diverse technical systems
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Suite products
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Interest in and willingness to learn new software and web-based systems

 

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Websites
