Job Summary
The Department of Public Health within the College of Health and Human Sciences is seeking a Senior Data and Accreditation Specialist to join our team. This role will manage ongoing accreditation efforts for the MPH, MHA, PhD, and BS programs in public health. This role is responsible for maintaining current accreditation and directing the department on accreditation efforts for new degree programs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating reports from student and faculty records, communicating with a diverse array of external and internal stakeholders, assessing program strengths and weaknesses, providing guidance on best practices, as well developing strategic plans for accreditation planning.
- Investigate and implement processes for the collection of qualitative and quantitative data through surveys, focus groups, etc.
- Use databases such as Digital Measures, Cognos and Excel spreadsheets to manage the vast array of student, faculty and alumni data.
- Manage the accreditation process by writing sections of the self-study.
- Support the delivery of the Graduate Professional Degree program, especially offering career counseling and support and student’s academic journey.

Required:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, educational administration, or related field.
- Four years of experience in higher education, public health, or related area.
Skills Needed:
- Experience with multiple data analysis packages.
- Demonstrated strong technical writing skills through previous positions or educational training.
- Data analysis skills.
- Expert knowledge of Excel and comfortable with learning new software for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Experience working with graduate students and providing career counseling.
- Advanced knowledge of data management.
- Must be a good listener with a strong attention to detail.
- Technical writing skills and comfort with writing accreditation reports.
- Capable of working independently to problem solve, learn new software, seek out new trainings as needed and to build a professional network.
- Flexible, adaptable, and has commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
- Advanced communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to run focus groups and incorporate feedback into programmatic changes.
- Knowledge of public health curriculum.
