Senior Dean's Office Coordinator
Job Summary
The Dean's Office Coordinator will provide administrative assistance to the Executive Assistant of the Dean of Engineering. Work to achieve day-to-day objectives for the Office of the Dean. This will include managing the Dean’s calendar, travel/travel reconciliation, and events. Attend and report back on the College of Engineering staff meetings. Anticipate needs and proactively plan ahead when possible, manage room reservations. Manage and ensure operational back-up (access to the dean’s calendar, approving emails sent to list-serves, assisting with documents for Promotion and Tenure). Assist with the Dean’s priority projects, researching, compiling and summarizing information requested, arrange meetings and travel when required. This position will also be tasked with special projects during the course of the year.

What We Are Looking For
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Three (3) years of experience in an administrative support role
SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- Advanced computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels within and external to the university to support departmental needs
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures to proactively resolve issues or improve processes
- Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions
- Drafting, proofreading and editing skills

- This was formerly classified as an operational/technical position; an internal lateral transfer will retain same benefit standing
