Job Summary
In this role, you will collaborate with faculty and video producers to design and develop online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. You will also collaborate across Purdue University Online and throughout the university to ensure high-quality implementation of credit-bearing and non-credit courses and programs.
This position posting represents two vacancies. One of the vacancies is 100% remote, and the other is a hybrid role.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology or related field. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Three years of instructional design experience as it relates to online learning and course design and development.
- One year of direct experience working one on one with faculty, instructors, or subject matter experts to design, develop, and support delivery of instruction.
- One year of project management experience serving as a project lead in an instructional design context.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Expertise in applying learning theory pedagogy and andragogy to develop instructional design strategies.
- Knowledge and application of best practices using technology for teaching and learning, including but not limited to multimedia development, virtual meetings, learning management systems, social networking, online collaborative tools, AI integration strategies and ethics, and mobile solutions for education.
- Ability to manage and report on the course development process.
- Evidence of project leadership.
Nice to have:
- Five or more years of online learning and instructional design experience.
- Instructional design experience in higher education, working with university faculty to design and develop online courses.
- Experience designing and delivery faculty professional development in a higher education setting.
- Experience applying universal design for learning, accessibility standards for online learning environments, and assistive technologies used with course design, development and delivery.
- Familiarity with applying the Quality Matters rubric to assess online course design.
- Familiarity with copyright laws, creative commons and how to apply them to online content delivery.
