As the Senior Integrated Communications Specialist in Agricultural Communications (AgComm), you’ll develop, execute and measure coordinated strategies across digital, social, search, content and other communication channels. You’ll combine strong communication skills with creative thinking, data-driven decision making and expertise in search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), accessibility and user experience principles to help audiences discover and engage with Purdue Agriculture content.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both the big picture and the details, and who sees new possibilities in the ever-evolving communications field. You’ll have the opportunity to shape innovative, strategic communications for the No. 3-ranked agricultural college in the U.S. and No. 6 in the world (QS World University Rankings, 2026) and tell stories with global impact.
What You'll Be Doing:
College’s Academic Reputation:
- Continued development, implementation and analysis of strategic plan to increase and sustain College’s academic reputation within key sectors related to rankings and engagement
- Collaboration with Agricultural Research and Graduate Education (ARGE) in additional areas related to graduate recruitment and other division priorities
Purdue Indianapolis outreach (and other programs identified as strategic priorities):
- Develop and execute marketing plan to identify audiences, promote programs and measure impact on behalf of new programs in Purdue University Indianapolis
Ongoing support for Strategic Priorities:
- Victories and Heroes fundraising campaign
- One Health
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, computer graphics or a related field
- 5 years of experience in field of marketing and communications
- Previous experience developing, executing and measuring coordinated communications strategies across digital, social, search, content, and other communication channels
- Strong, proven writing skills; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; social media skills; beginning level knowledge and interest in photography/videography/graphic design
