Senior Program Manager, Undergraduate Programs and Compliance

Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager for Undergraduate Programs and Compliance will exercise leadership responsibilities for Purdue Online's undergraduate initiatives. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the selection of courses for online development, creating contracts for development and instruction, overseeing course development processes, and coordinating appropriate financial transactions. The Senior Program Manager also ensures online course sections are properly set up in the registrations system. This position interfaces regularly with instructional design staff, faculty instructors from all Purdue colleges, academic advisors, department heads, and University administrators in academic, financial, and technical roles. Additionally, this position will serve as the contact for and coordinator of all compliance activities in order to maintain Purdue's ability to offer online education to the public. This includes responsibility for maintaining membership in and reporting to NC-SARA, as well as monitoring and responding to any needs arising from changing federal regulations.

This is a hybrid position, with percentage of time on campus to be determined. 



  • Bachelor's degree in management, communications, higher education administration, or a related field
  • Four years’ experience in program management and development
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently with students, faculty and staff 
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities 
  • Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office


  • Experience with online learning
  • Experience with Purdue academic and fiscal processes 
  • Banner and Cognos experience
