Senior Program Manager

The Senior Program Manager will work with the academic units and colleges in carrying out the various duties associated with managing and leading master's programs, graduate certificates, and noncredit professional development online. This includes coordinating with various campus offices, recruiting and marketing, program development, and faculty coordination.   This includes but is not limited to coordinating logistics related to program delivery, strategizing with academic units, and managing program budgets.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, higher education, or related field
  • Four (4) years of professional office experience related to outreach, teaching, presenting, and/or education
  • Office management experience 

 

What is helpful (Preferred):

  • Master’s degree 
  • Purdue University work experience 
  • Experience working with departments on campus (e.g., Graduate School, Registrar's Office, Bursar's Office, and International Student Services) 
  • Experience with/in online degree programs

 

Skills Needed: 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to self-motivate, work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of computer databases and word processing
  • Skilled in the use of educational technology applications (e.g., LMS, SIS, CRM, and other computer applications)

 

What is helpful (Preferred):

  • Supervisor experience with ability to motivate direct reports
