Senior Research Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing evaluation and research methodologies for a large workforce development program, the Scalable Asymmetric Lifecycle Engagement (SCALE) program. SCALE is a large Department of Defense-funded workforce development project for topics related to microelectronics. The Senior Research Analyst will conduct ongoing evaluation and reporting efforts. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing surveys and other techniques for ongoing program evaluation as well as synthesizing results and presenting findings to relevant parties. The Senior Research Analyst will also provide recommendations to enhance the student experience and program functions. A strong background in program evaluation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, assessment design, and report writing is required.

The Scalable Asymmetric Lifecycle Engagement (SCALE) program is the preeminent U.S. program for semiconductor workforce development in the defense sector. Led by Purdue University, funded by the Department of Defense and managed by NSWC Crane, SCALE facilitates a different approach to training highly-skilled U.S. microelectronics engineers, hardware designers, and manufacturing experts, ensuring U.S. leadership in this important area.

 

SCALE provides unique courses, mentoring, internship matching and targeted research projects for college students interested in five microelectronics specialty areas: radiation-hardening, heterogeneous integration/advanced packaging, system on a chip, embedded system security/trusted AI, and supply chain awareness.

What We Are Looking For

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in education, engineering education, or social science-related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in program evaluation, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting, survey development, or related area
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

 

PREFERRED:

  • Focus on program evaluation
  • Ph.D.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience    

 

SKILLS:
REQUIRED:

  • Must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and technology skills (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, R)
  • Ability to engage actively with a diverse team
