Senior Instruction Specialist

Job Summary

Provide instructional and operational services for residential and online course delivery. Develop and deliver lecture-, project-, and laboratory-based instruction. Implement policies, procedures, and standards for laboratory instruction. Maintain instructional equipment, order supplies and equipment, train lab personnel, and deliver course-learning materials. Successful candidate will coordinate with other instructional technologist(s) assigned to assist in the parasitology and microbiology labs.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Veterinary Nursing/Technology (RVT required for Veterinary Nursing/Veterinary Technology graduates)
  • Four years of experience teaching college-level life sciences or related courses
  • Ability to teach in classroom, laboratory and small groups
  • Working knowledge of good parasitology and microbiology laboratory practices and biohazards
  • Oral and written communication and organization skills
  • Computer skills, especially those required for preparation and electronic delivery of teaching materials  (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Brightspace)



  • Experience teaching college-level microbiology or parasitology courses
