Space Administration Analyst — Predictive Modeling & Simulation

Key Responsibilities

  • Modeling, Simulation & Scenario Analysis
  • Conduct studies using predictive modeling techniques and campus planning data to ensure both current and future space needs are met.
  • Build and execute multi-scenario simulations that leverage actual and forecasted enrollment, supporting decision-makers in identifying optimal solutions.
  • Continuously improve processes by learning existing systems and applying analytical thinking.
  • Analyze financial implications and risk profiles associated with strategic space decisions.

 

Visual & Technical Analysis

  • Develop engaging methods for stakeholders to visualize complex system changes.
  • Produce high-quality analytical reports, integrating findings for both internal and external audiences.
  • Report recommended actions based on simulation outcomes.

 

Advanced Data Skills

  • Utilize modeling software, programming languages, and advanced statistical analysis to extract insights and recommend solutions.
  • Communicate complex results to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and actionable understanding.
  • Prepare polished written reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Present findings to key decision-makers across the university.

 

Customer Support & Collaboration

  • Maintain regular status updates and forecasting schedules for stakeholders.
  • Perform cross-training and support space data administration needs: space requests, reporting, dashboards, and more.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $63,300 to $87,900 commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.

What We're Looking For

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.   Degree in a business or quantitative field, preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years required experience in:
    • Extensive experience in descriptive, prescriptive and predictive analytics
    • Experience in translating data into reports and presentations to support a case for change
    • Extensive experienced in technologies including FM:S and advanced analytics tools

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in university facilities management, scheduling, or space administration

 

 

Skills Needed:

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Must understand current and emerging technologies of managing space
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing to work with cross- functional teams
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach to service delivery
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Ability to:
    • quickly understand, process and consume data from multiple sources
    • use reporting tools such as Cognos or Tableau

 

Preferred

  • Operationally savvy
  • Process improvement
