Job Summary

The Department of Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University invites applications for an academic-year (9-month) lecturer position in the newly launched Master of Science in Sport Management (MSSM) program, beginning August 2026. This position plays a central role in the continued development, delivery, and academic quality of a professionally focused graduate curriculum. The successful candidate will advance the department’s instructional mission through excellence in graduate-level teaching within the MSSM program. Teaching responsibilities will include courses aligned with programmatic needs and faculty expertise. The lecturer will also contribute to programmatic, departmental, and interdisciplinary engagement and service activities, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Sport Management or related field;
Evidence of success in teaching and student mentorship;
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

 

Preferred:
Previous college-level teaching experience

About the Department
