You will be working mainly with a PhD student, Seonho (Claire) Woo, and an advisor, Dr. Young-Jun Son.
Task descriptions:
We are setting up an environment for building connected digital twin system of multi-robotic agents (UGVs, NVIDIA JetRacer and JetBot). We would primarily start with sensors equipped in JetRacer: IMU sensor, depth camera, and 2D LiDAR. Then, we will explore multimodal sensory inputs to add and enhance a perception capability of robots. Simultaneously, a digital twin environment with the synced virtual and physical subjects on NVIDIA Isaac Sim would be built; then, we are connecting them with ROS 2, and eventually build a distributed (perhaps federated learning) learning/communication system within multiple robot agents, leveraging digital twin.

We are looking for a person who is very interested in and willing to contribute further, proactive participation, and ideally has hands-on experience in robotics or sensor simulation (not meaning that we expect much, just one or two meaningful skills would be excellent).
