Job Summary

The Dorothy Stratton Veteran and Military Success Center (VMSC) Student Development Administrator coordinates the day-to-day operations of programs and events designed to support the Veteran, Military, and Family (VMF) population at the VMSC. This role is responsible for the practical execution of the Education to Occupation (E2O) pipeline and student onboarding initiatives. The incumbent will manage routine communication with stakeholders, provide individual guidance to students navigating the transition to academia, and serve as a functional advisor to the Purdue Student Veterans Organization (PSVO). Additional duties include facilitating collaboration with campus partners, maintaining existing relationships with 60+ corporate partners to support student career opportunities, and overseeing the student lounge.

 

This position will be 100% on site.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a  related field. 
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in student affairs. project coordination, higher education, or military-to-civilian transition services
  • Experience working with military-connected populations is highly preferred

 

Skills: 

  • Operational Execution: Proven ability to coordinate event logistics and manage multiple timelines effectively.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with wide-ranging audiences, including students, faculty, and corporate recruiters.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve practical problems through prior experience and analysis of student needs.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and across various university departments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently on assignments while remaining receptive to guidance and supervision.

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $51,000. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.​​
