Job Description
The primary role of the Wellness Suite position is to provide assistance to professional staff in support of initiatives that represent overall well-being. The goal of this position is to give students access to valuable programming with real-world experience in a safe and respected environment. The Wellness Assistant position should work 10-12 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor and will be accommodating to academic schedules. The candidate for this position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, personable, and willing to learn.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one semester of college coursework successfully completed
- Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University,
- Previous work experience within Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail
- Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Be timely and organized
Position Responsibilities
- Represent the Wellness Suite to promote healthy lifestyle at campus-wide events
- Understand how to effectively research a topic
- Work independently with little supervision and willing to jump into a team setting to support other staff.
- Perform daily upkeep of supplies
- Exhibit friendliness, diplomacy, and tact in responding to clients
- Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information
- Serve and participate on committees within the division to provide feedback from a student lens
- Willing to present ideas to incorporate into a well-being health model
- Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information
- Other duties as assigned
