Systems Engineer, Associate
Job Summary
The Associate Systems Engineer, under the direction of leadership will provide level 3 support for customers. Ensure long term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration and integrity of Directory, File, Networking, Printing, and Security services. Under direction of leadership design the file services infrastructure including reporting, creating folders, permissions management, managing space utilization, and consulting for file services needs. This position will recommend technologies and design processes to ensure security, and implement system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the information systems environment. You will serve as project technical resources for research and development of production services. You will participate in problem management and the creation of solutions to resolve wide-spread issues that involve the design and implementation of the desktop support infrastructure. This position will establish processes and operational procedures to be executed by other End-User Experience staff.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in computer related course work
- One (1) year computer related work experience
- Background in an IT desktop support center with demonstrated experience with problem/incident identification and resolution, research, and development experience
Preferred:
- Experience developing day-to-day computer support processes
- Scripting language experience
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or other global desktop administration and management software experience
- Software packaging experience
- Microsoft AD experience
- Experience maintaining file services
Skills Needed:
- Knowledge of computing and mobile devices, hardware troubleshooting and repair, PC configuration and security, security patching, image creation, software packaging and scripting, and directory and permissions settings/administration
- Knowledge and experience using desktop support troubleshooting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to:
- communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- work productively as part of a team to complete larger projects
- learn and use programming and scripting languages used in the automation of systems administration
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
