TEMA Temporary PD NON Sworn
Provide traffic control, crowd control and security at sporting and special events. Actively support and participate in the community policing philosophy of the Purdue University Police Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide traffic control, crowd control and security at sporting and special events.
Working Conditions
May involve exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions, large crowds, and loud noises. May involve long periods of standing on hard surfaces.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required
A strong commitment to customer service and use of good judgment are essential. Strong interpersonal relationship and public relations skills are essential.
Must have strong conflict resolution skills and problem solving ability. Must be able to adapt and react to unusual conditions and work effectively under pressure.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Valid Indiana driver’s license and United States citizenship required.
Must complete the four blocks of mandatory training to include Right to Know, PUPD Use of Force Policy, Clery Campus Security Authority, and Title IX.
