The Program Administration Specialist in the School of Mechanical Engineering plays a key role in maintaining seamless operations across Purdue’s undergraduate programs—helping advance the University’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate operational processes related to the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the School, the College of Engineering, and university offices to support curriculum implementation and updates
  • Collect and manage data for continuous curriculum and accreditation-related improvements
  • Serve as scheduling deputy for the School of Mechanical Engineering, ensuring accurate and timely course scheduling
  • Partner with the Registrar’s Office and other campus units to streamline processes that enhance the student and faculty experience

What We're Looking For

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in different aspects of undergraduate programs, such as advising, schedule deputy, admissions, etc.

 

Skills Needed:

  • Familiarity with undergraduate-level academic programs, procedures, and policies
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organization, planning, and time management skills required
  • Proficiency with Curiculog, UniTime, and Banner is highly desired
  • Must be able to work independently and use sound judgment in making decisions

The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $52,000 and $57,000 commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.
