University Innovation Alliance Fellow Student Affairs Administrator

Job Summary

Purdue University is looking to fill the role of University Innovation Alliance (UIA) Fellow Student Affairs Administrator. UIA fellow role is a 2- to 3-year university leadership development program with two primary objectives. First, to provide Purdue with additional capacity to shepherd scalable student success innovations on campus, and second, to equip future higher education leaders to transform institutions in support of closing equity gaps for historically marginalized student populations. The Fellow will engage in critical work to support Purdue in identifying new solutions, scale proven innovations, and communicate and diffuse outcomes, ultimately helping more students have access to and graduate with a high-quality, affordable bachelor’s degree. The Purdue fellow will serve as a project manager for UIA scale projects, including our current Black Student Success Initiative that involves a partnership between the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and University Undergraduate Academic Advising. The fellow will also manage the Boiler Success Team student advisory board, facilitating a connection between undergraduates and senior university leadership. Additionally, the fellow will provide support for broad Teaching & Learning strategic initiatives such as first-generation student success, proactive academic advising, and other goals related to the Provost’s Roadmap for Transformative Undergraduate Education.

 

This position has a limited duration of 2-3 years with continuation dependent upon additional funding. Benefits do apply.

 

Required:

  • Master’s degree 
  • 2 years of work experience in higher education or related areas, including work completed during graduate school
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage details of a project while keeping in mind strategic institutional priorities
  • Experience and comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to appropriately pivot and adapt to new situations or based on new information
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable analyzing student data and creating reports
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning
