Summer Room and Board (Minimum requirement 20 hours/week)
Required hours include days, evenings, weekends, overnight hours, and holidays
Successful candidates may choose to attend summer school at their own expense
Position Requirements
Required on-call rotation
Required to live in the assigned double occupancy room for the duration of the summer program season
It is expected that no more than 1 summer course per module will be taken
Position is considered a full-time commitment, Internship eligible
No additional employment is permitted
Target hire date (time to complete paperwork + web certifications): Monday, May 11, 2026
Target start date (first day of training): Monday, May 18, 2026
Job Description
The primary role of the Summer Student Office Staff (SSOS) is to deliver direct customer experiences to ensure a successful program activity. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in a customer service environment. The SSOS position should work 20-40 hours per week during the summer, with a minimum requirement of 20 hours per week. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor, the Summer Student Office Coordinator (SSOC). The Summer SOS position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the University Residences office processes and have some customer service experience.
