Job Summary
The Purdue Veterinary Hospital is looking for a credentialed veterinary technician with experience in Behavior to add to our team. This team member will provide clinical assistance in the Behavior department with new and existing patient evaluations, client education, including preparing educational materials, laboratory sampling, and assisting with research tasks. This position will also be responsible for creating and delivering lectures to veterinary technician students on animal behavior and assisting with behavior lectures to veterinary students. The team is looking for clinical experience and a motivation to teach both students and pet owners.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualified candidates will need:
- AAS in Veterinary Technology from AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program
- Two years in a University Veterinary Teaching Hospital or Veterinary Specialty Hospital as a credentialed veterinary technician
- Two years working in veterinary behavior or with a DACVB
Skills needed:
- Must become RVT in Indiana within 12 months of hire.
- Able to listen to and follow both verbal and written directions.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
- Must possess a knowledge level enough to explain and demonstrate routine veterinary medical concepts and procedures to aid in the instruction of veterinary students and veterinary technology students
